Eh. At this point, I've reached an object lesson in "show" don't "tell." In this case, where the protagonist has to tell me why she can't commit to a relationship, when it would work so much better to fold this kind of stuff into an actual interaction with the guy. Since I already hit the 45% mark this quick, this prolly won't go the DNF route though.

Finished. It's a bit rough on the edges but I'll give it credit where credit's due, it had me. I just wished there were parts of the story that were a little smoother in transition and development for the issues they touched upon. Molly was difficult to like, but I saw why she was the way she was. Ian was cool.

I'm close to rating this 3 stars overall, but I'm not sure yet. Need to think about it.

This galley's only 140 pages, but the way its formatted makes it seem longer.

In any case, I think I'm liking Ian so far. He has some issues, but I'm so glad to see an NA hero who doesn't primarily think with his...well, you know. He's not preoccupied with sex and he actually respects Molly, but...their situation is complicated to say the least. Still reading.

*raises brows* Whoa, okay I'll fully admit I wasn't expecting that bombshell to be dropped.

I having a hard time following Molly because she's so despondent (for fair reasons in some modes, but others I want to rage at her). But I'm hanging on and seeing where this goes.

I think Ian's actually okay. He's not the typical bad boy jerk (so far...*knocks on wood*).
