Status Updates From What We Were

I don’t even know if I’m going to be able to finish this book, even though I’m almost done with it. I can’t stop crying while reading this…

I am so sick knowing that things like this actually happen in real life makes me sick. Just thinking about children going through this is horrifying. I’m literally crying for Noah, Ethan, and his mother. I genuinely hope the dad d*es.

Okay I’m literally crying right now 😭 it’s 3am and I genuinely can’t stop crying over this book.

Maybe this book just isn’t for me? It seems that people love this book, but being 1/4 of the way through it, I’m just kinda confused at the character development and it doesn’t feel realistic in the slightest.

Eh.

Lost interest. Feels like it will be a story I’ve read before.

Good grief, what the hell am I reading? I read a different book by this author which was good….
This though is all over the place. The writing is super basic and lacks depth…. There’s a lot in here for shock value and no substance…. I’m just not getting it?
