Status Updates From A Package Deal

Okay, the use of the words "privates" instead of cock or penis or, hell, even "length" is weirdly juvenile for this moment. Then again, the character whose POV it is at the moment did have has sexuality stunted at an early age, so it makes sense. It's still a little weird to read, though.

This "homeless experiment" is a friggin' bizarro pot twist.

I've been enjoying this book with its emotionally scarred characters and its complicated relationships but I keep thinking, "Now is when Robby will stand up for himself & Tristan. Now is when he'll grow a pair." But every time, he lets vile people say vile things about the person he loves and the person he is. This may have been one time too many b/c this time, he was an active participant. I'm sick.

Hmmm... I read a few reviews where people were upset or chose not to read the book because the sex scenes were so PG as to be practically fade to black. Now, I'm red blooded woman that likes my characters to bang like bunnies just as much as the next gal, but I dunno... Given who these characters are and what their background is, the more soft-focused love scene made sense to me.

I like that we, as readers, don't get much more information or insight into this potential relationship than Robby doe;l it keeps me stumbling through the story wondering what the fuck?! What IS this relationship? How will it work?!

I'm enjoying this one, but it does NOT feel like your typical m/m. I'm not sure that I've met a cast of characters like this before - it's refreshing.

Oh, this Mikey character has GOT to go. The guy's a d-bag and I find it hard to believe that this MC that we're supposed to like would be friends with him.

Is it proper to use the word "anyways" instead of "anyway". I've seen it 3 times now. I can't believe that Tristan was assaulted with a bat by business partner of Robbie and 1)Robbie never went to police and 2) Robbie didn't fire him. Also, Robbie and Tristan have kissed twice and the progress to full on intercourse?!!

Mikey is a most despicable character. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Man the ending was not satisfactory. I wanted Robby to get mad at his dad an tell him off. He still wimped out in my opinion. Don't get me started in the mom, she's a total push over, maybe the dad wouldn't be so damn callous and mean spirited if the mom stood up to him when it concerns her kids.

Ok I really don't like this book! I mean there is angst everywhere, I mean I can handle angst I love Amy Lane, but dammit her books have solid characters. These characters are so damn wishy washy. Well just Savannah and Robby, Tristan is pretty solid in the fact that he's a damaged functioning human being. He's gone through way worse and he's the least screwed up. Grrr!!!!!
