Status Updates From Wizards, Inc.

Loved the leprechaun's Irish blessing (and recognized the author as one of Kris Rusch's literary personae), but the stories after it aren't really engaging me. This anthology seems to be one of the weaker ones.

I found Jay Lake's story just a little artsy for my tastes, with his nameless protagonist -- but I also recognize the magical tradition of True Names and their power. Still, it might have worked better had he given her a use name, like Ged in Ursula K. LeGuin's Earthsea fantasies.

An interesting mix of funny and serious stories to start off with. I'll be interested in seeing where this one goes.
