91% finished and I want to stop reading. Grueling, except gruel would actually be more appetizing.

The killer is Billy Holderness, because he was introduced halfway through the book (yes, this book is that lame)--that & he collects knives. The ex-husband being pushed as a suspect is just a red herring.

I suspect this book is trying to be clever and there may be a twist coming up: Hadley may turn out to be Julia's (Julia is the Main Character's read ex-lover) daughter.

I got this book free off Bookbub.com. I love it. I have been a fan of the imperfect P.I. noir genre for 25 years and Nick Saylor fits right in.

I found the book quite enjoyable, it was my first time reading a book based on a man private eye written by a woman. The style was quite different from those of the male gender.
