Status Updates From The Parasites

Subtle but nevertheless impactful stories are brewing. The siblings are interesting enough to make me wonder what happens throughout the novel and the sudden absence of a character has left me feeling melancholy. I do wonder if this work is Daphne's best, however, I am intrigued and I am liking what I am reading.

I always underestimate how classic books have a slower progression than standard contemporary books. In spite of having the option to read an easy fiction book however, I am enjoying this book as I am understanding the context of each character. This is usually the theme with classics, but rarely is there ever a dramatic scene to begin with, only ever do we get a feel of the characters & their personality + attitude.

Damn, Du Maurier usually likes to wait until the end to hit you with a crazy gut punch, but looks like we're getting started early this time 😳
