I'm still having a terrible time. I really want to like this series, but I'm so frustrated. I read chapter after chapter of side characters I don't care about to get maybe 3-5 pages of Venir. Not Venir being a bad ass but getting his ass kicked bad. Just read a bunch of boring stuff to get a chapter of Venir, whose surprise surprise is getting beat up, and worst of all, it's a shared chapter with Slim.

Not having a good time. Too many side characters and not enough Venir. It's like a kick to the stones to get a 12ish page chapter which is huge for this author about Scorch and a side character to maybe get 4 pages about Venir? A quarter of the way through and 0 Darkslayer action. Not a bad book but not having a lot of fun. I saw I have a long Kam chapter coming up. Taking the night off to drink.
