Oh God, it's first person, PRESENT tense. I just don't know if I can take 450 pages of first person, present tense. The blurb isn't in first person present tense. That is not something that should be snuck up on a reader. This does not bode well.

So far, I really like her writing style. It is smooth, easy to read. I find the storyline intriguing. However, she introduced a lot of characters right off the bat, and it is kind of confusing keeping them straight. I found myself skimming the first chapter till things settled down a little.
