Really interesting ideas with Heaven and Hell and the Horsemen. Also much more engaging than the Icarus trilogy, but maybe that's because we're living through the precursor to that story...

this is getting kind of weird and probably vaguely racist and i should be done with this book now but i have school but anyway, this sucks.

this book doesn't even feel like a book it just feels like a lot of loosely connected fight scenes????????????????????????

is it a crime for a book about fighting giant demons to be boring? it should be

a few things with the direction of the story so far have surprised me a little

however it's still weighed down by the fact that there's been a number of fight scenes and kauffmann's action scenes are pretty... lifeless. it makes this a real chore to read especially when there are battles that go on for almost TEN PAGES

do you ever get excited to read something and when you finally make it less then 10 pages in, you think to yourself, "i've made a huge mistake"?

this is gonna hurt isn't it?

An excellent and entertaining read. Interesting setting, pretty nice characterization, a fun plot. I'd definitely say give this one a try, see if it hooks you.
