An intriguing, thoughtful ending.

A good, strong ending, left ambiguous but with purpose.

Seeing as this ending is set in the future year of 2022, I can say that Edward Packard's ideological biases here feel more ludicrous than ever. Most of this book avoids political fever dreams, though.

A minor typo on this page that's fixed in later editions.

I wonder if I found my own time again because or in spite of the aliens from the ship. Edward Packard fills this book with stimulating vagaries like that. It's spectacular.

At least fate smiled on us and we survived. Living through a journey to the distant past or future isn't an outcome to be taken for granted.

The longer you wander aimlessly in these pages, the greater the odds you get caught in an awful demise.

I certainly suspected that approaching the wall builders was an ill-conceived plan. There are so many different adventures in this book. It never fails to floor me.

Don't trifle with the Cave of Time too long, or you get its teeth.
