DNFing this....was trying to push through but I just can't. Too many books to read.
The writing in this just wasn't up to the quality that I've read before from Nemirovsky. Plus I thought the story was going to be a love triangle with parents/gparents hating the girl Pierre chose and while there is an element of that, there is a larger component of WW1 (and I'm burned out on war fiction right now).
