I picked this from the library the day before we heard that Berry had passed away. May he rest in peace. His legacy seems a strong one, and I’m eager to bask in it.

I’ve read many of Wendell Berry’s poems before, but I’ve never sat down and truly savored them at a slow pace, letting myself linger and think deeply about each one. Beautiful, honest, and raw. These poems are the kind you want to read slowly and return to often. The Peace of Wild Things is still my absolute favorite. So good!
