wow! magnificent! this book would get 6 stars if such a rating was possible! there was just a really touching moment between worf and ezri dax where they remembered jadzia! wonderful! perfection!

wow 14 years later, i forgot how much of a slog this book is! its a good slog but it takes forever for all like 10 plot threads to come together. in the last 1/3 of the book it finally feels like we are getting somewhere with this borgpocalypse. very good book though!

wowww its been so long since i read this book, i forgot how much of a slog this part is! its still good just mostly character development and set dressing. the borg are still around being genocidal freak cyborgs and the federation is in dire peril. i vaguely remember whats coming but i cant wait to finish!

nice! the alpha quadrant powers finally get off their hands and lasunch a very sketch counterattack against the borg. but wait! the federation has money?! i thought they were post scarcity fully automated luxury gay space communism? ;) guess not! lets see what the wikis say! great book so far as i remembered.

wow! this book is way more of a slog than i remember it being 12 years ago! the alpha quadrant is not doing well against the borg's genocidal invasion. billions are dead. star trek technobabble is way more insufferable in novel form than on tv.

wowwwwww ! we finally seem to have fimnished the outdated abortion storyline and now we are dealing with the now deceased "bitter barren woman trope" ah well, this book was written in 2007 . its 2026 now and lord how things have changed! it seems like the plot is finally starting to plot and the murder mystery is doing things the borg genocidal invasion continues. things are not good for the alpha quadrant.

lol so i'm not sure why but i do not like any of the characters in the USS titan plot threads riker and troi are passable but none of the other ones are interesting to me. no fault to the author at all, its likely just me. the USS enterprise and columbia threads are good though! awesome book to reread after 14 ish years!
