Status Updates From Because of You

Funny to read an early mariano book. You can really see how much her writing has evolved. And yet, some things never change.

I think this is Sam Mariano’s earliest work?? And you can tell lol — I love that actually! Seeing what she would then be going on to make much better and with more skill.

The story’s definitely dated and there’s perceptions about hooking up while drunk that were more or less acceptable in 2013 that just don’t fly now (obviously never should have), but I don’t mind; I love fictional time capsules.

Man this book made me cry

I am in first pages but god I love her writing style some authors just click and you find your self in character’s life , I don’t reach main characters story yet but her mother story made me really sad

You can tell this is one of her earlier books because he writing isn't great (and usually it is!) but I'm still really enjoying the story.
