Status Updates From Flesh and Bone - Book One -...

I’m going to go ahead and stop reading here. I’m becoming more and more frustrated with the typos and tense errors, as well as a few descriptions that are confusing. I’d love to see this author find a solid proof reader who is not afraid to make changes and point out errors for his future books.

So far I’m looking forward to settling into the characters and story a bit more. There are some metaphors and imagery in the start of this that makes me think the author will be painting vivid pictures later. The book could have used more thorough proofreading. Constant switches between past and present tense and some confusing sentences make the read less enjoyable. And what was with the whole maaaxxxxxxxxx thing?

"I just ... I want you to be happy. I want you to have a space where it will always be warm and ready."

They are so adorable. <3 Also it's getting closer to the end so I guess we'll get some answers soon.

"His soft hand is wrapped around my neck, pulling me closer. The tears slowly come to a crawl as he breathes life between my lips. The rain outside starts to pour down while the spinning world seems to come to a perfect still moment between us. Our galaxies are swirling together."

I really love Sam & Max and the writing style is so beautiful at some parts. Still, the timeline is kinda confusing sometimes. XD

Okay, I'll be honest here, the last couple of chapters were a little confusing?! I know there is a mythological background to this story but the author has kept it very vague so far and that makes it kinda hard to understand Max's actions. Fingers crossed we'll get a little bit more info soon.

Caught off guard, I respond without thinking. "Absolutely, I ... I think I would go to war for you." His hand grabs mine firmly; a deep blush crossing his face.
My grip tightens but he responds in kind.

I think under different circumstances this might feel extremely insta-lovey, but something tells me that there is a reason for that fast and easy trust. I just don't know it yet. XD

"I might not know you very well Sam, but I recognize strength when I see it. You're the only one who doesn't want to recognize it. I thought at first it was a fear of being hurt, but now I think it's fear of being able to hurt others."

Damn, Max is good. But Sam is pretty good at gauging Max as well. *lol* They are a perfect match. <3

"Well, I give up," I mutter through gritted teeth.
Making eye contact, we both lean into the flame. The tobacco leaves light the night between us. His dimples radiate against the flame as that smirk transforms into a full-blown smile, all the while his hazel eyes never leave mine. We stay in that flame, gazing, gauging each other.

I already love their chemistry. I'll have fun with this! XD

ok i’m liking it but i so desperately want to fix the grammatical errors in this, it’s bothering me Badly. a lack of ‘s and ,” and .” and at one point a character’s name wasn’t capitalized. maybe i’m being cunt in a Bad way but i’m an english major i cannot help it

i’m genuinely so confused, i feel like i’m reading the second book in the series but this is the first. it’s just not very clear to me what’s happening at all. i guess that’s the point, to keep the readers in the dark like the mc is, but like ?? he’s even refraining from thinking about his past. so we’re in the dark about that as well. it’s hard to keep up with new developments bc of this
