Status Updates From Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy

Inciting incident: Ophelia visits the museum that her father has a swordsmith job for. She hears a tapping from the wall and discovers a boy trapped behind a painting. This even leads to a magical conflict, in which draws Ophelia into the boy’s curse, setting the plot in motion as she decides to help him break the spell before time runs out.

THE QUEST: My book archetype is 'The Quest", because Ophelia needs to defeat the Ice Queen with the help of the Boy, whose name is unknown and the 'One Other'. She has already collected the items needed, but now she has to deal with obstacles along the way. Such as being chased by wolves, and the museum clerk manipulating Ophelia's younger sister. All this shows that this book is the archetype 'The Quest'.

Ophelia continues exploring the museum in search of the key, sword, and "one other" who can wield the sword to defeat the ice queen. The boy tells her about anomalies she may find in the museum and she doesn't believe him, While she seeks the items she realizes that the anomalies are real, and she begins to trust the boy's instructions, rather than go about her own logic.
