Status Updates From Dear Laura

I wonder if each letters coordinates, is a different piece of bobby buried there.

So sad she doesn’t know how to trust without anything being an exchange / blackmail.

Poor thing was groomed for six years until she was 19. Debased as a child. Groomed to send used personal belongings, including a used pad. All throughout her teenage years until early adulthood. With parents barely present emotionally, no one else to turn to and guilt ridden.

Oh man, this is rough. Us, as the reader, knowing more than Laura— that she’s being toyed with by a pedo man, that’s inserting himself into his own investigation, playing psychological mind games with a child and getting off to it.

Poor thing, navigating embarrassment, disgust and shame of trading her used underwear for a clue. Not understanding in the next letter were, I suspect coordinates, and a confession of ‘love’ by the creepy pedo.

As a reader, knowing why the pedo kidnapper (and most likely murderer) is toying with his second victim, stringing her along in hopes of getting her best friend and boyfriend back; knowing his intentions and her being an innocent, desperate teenager, 14, oblivious and unaware to the fact of why he wants her used underwear in exchange for a ‘clue’, under the guise of the boy being alive. Sickening. Heartbreaking.
