On Body of Evidence: there's a danger to reading all of an author you really like all at once: seeing the re-use of themes and storylines. In this case, the trusted powerful parental figure who turns out to be a corrupt asshole.

Finished Body of Evidence: 3 stars. The leads were much more likable though Curt could be an ass. Lee from book 1 made an aappearance but the book stands alone. Lots of passion and heat, loved their pretend dates and their phone sex. It was a little weird reading this while the US and North Korea are so at odds as North Korea is an important part of the story. The story was originally published @5 years ago.

Finished book 1, Concrete Evidence: 3 stars. Both leads drove me batty & they were liars & manipulators. They had sort of good reasons but had a serious failure to communicate & trust issues. The trust issues & lies were forgiven too easily, more groveling was needed, especially by the hero Lee. Still, there was heat between them & they were mostly likable. The mysteries were well done, lots of red herring & twisty.
