Reason for choice:
Type: Library loan available
Reason: Author audition (I don’t think that I’ve read enough from Carle considering the author status!) - also a quick happy tale distraction

Really disappointed as this version doesn't have the cricket sound at the end. 😢

The Very Quiet Cricket by Eric Carle is a cute story about a cricket who could not find his voice. He searched and searched, trying to talk to other animals but he could not communicate with them. However, in the end he found someone who he could finally talk to. This is a good book to read to kids because it shows them that they may not be able to work with everyone but the people they can talk to makes it worth it.
