Status Updates From Kryžkelės

I’m about as far from a Franzen fan as someone can be, but this is quite good and very accessible. The subtle changes in vocabulary and syntax for the different points of view are interesting to notice.

This honestly feels like a longer version of Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides…. a way too long story about sex-obsessed white middle class people in the 70s… I’m too far in to give up though. I keep waiting for any kind of character arc but I’m afraid I’m not going to get it.
