I’m on the verge of DNF-ing this! It’s so heavy on first person narrative and almost no conversation at all. And Because of that, I can’t visualize other characters’ personas. I can’t imagine their aura thru their emotions, expressions, thought processes, etc., by interacting with other characters and making a conversation. Frustrating AF!

I’m not sure why I’m still reading this, especially now that I’ve realized it’s mediocre writing at its finest.

I’m reading this side by side with “As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow” so I can’t help but compare the way the two are written. The other one good at describing what’s happening in the surroundings, and the other has so much talk about people’s business, which I don’t care about—I’m talking about Claimed at this point. 🤧
