So far I'm enjoying this a bit more than Mortal Follies. I continue to have mixed feelings about the narrative voice. Sometimes it's delightful and other times it's a bit tedious. The fade to black is disappointing but consistent with the previous book. Unlike MF, I didn't go into this one expecting romance, and I think I'm enjoying it more being in the correct headspace.

Idk why it's taking me so long to read this book 😭😭 It's fun and it's got that typical Alexis Hall humour and heart, but I just can't pick it up 🥲🥲 (Definitely has no correlation to me picking up shiny new library books — if you see me start a new book, no you didn't)
