Nico finally mentions how weird it is that Jimmy is so nonchalant about his daughter’s sex life, he says that his dad is the same way but it’s different when you’re raising sons? This book by far has the most misogynistic comments, even more than the first two in the series. It’s almost incredible… this absolutely is terrible.

Mia’s dad, Jimmy, being so okay with talking about his daughter’s sex life is weird. At one point, Nico is talking from the car speakers about what he’s going to do to Mia, very explicitly sexual, and Jimmy’s just laughing telling Mia not to be embarrassed and that he was surprised that she was still a virgin when she’s only 19 btw.

Mia is 19 and Nico is 29, making the age gap 10 years. While that is a little weird, the main issue is him always mentioning how young she is and treating her like a child!!

They’re about to have sex for the first time and she mentions that she has an IUD to help regulate her period and this guy says ‘I won’t tell you what to do, that’s your decision, but if it we’re up to me, I would want you to get it removed.’?? This isn’t dominance or possessiveness, seriously who writes these books? Why on earth should you want her to get it removed? Shouldn’t even be a discussion!!

With the amount of misogynistic comments in these books, I’m starting to wonder if the author is a man?
