Status Updates From I Swear I Won't Bother You ...

I’m not enjoying this volume. There’s far too much head hopping. There are times when I do not know whose head I am in. Honestly, I don’t really care about the obnoxious Yulan. At least Marin is noticing that his affection is suffocating. Violet used to be the main character, yet she isn’t driving the story. The only character who’s made any growth is Maryjune, who’s treated as a villain. What a mess.

This has been on my pile for a while. It’s not common light novel subject matter. It’s closer to Victorian tales than Japanese. Yes, there is a reincarnation and time loop, but the story is so bleak and heartrending that sometimes it isn’t an enjoyable read.

Ummmm….that took a turn….Off the rails and over a shark…. I’m going to keep going and hope this can be salvaged, but expectations are low at this point…

Not sure why Yulan did what he did, but I hope it had a point other than to make him the former timeline Vio instead of her…we shall see. And her father is an @$$-hat!!! I completely HATE him! He’s supposed to be the ADULT, yet he’s slapping his oldest daughter and whining that she’s ruining HIS life?!? I can’t even!
