there’s a weird undertone to this book. kind of transphobic, kind of pro-choice, kind of judgy. thornton wants to be a progressive feminist sooo bad, but ultimately she chose to spend an extended period of time researching & interviewing strippers, & she still came away with, “these poor women are victims of the patriarchy & are devaluing themselves!” … girl what.

Reading via Audiobook. So far very TERF, transphobic, body horror, and Body shaming for anyone anyone who doesn't have a "pristine yoga body with Grade A Yoga tits" (the ideal B Cup).
