Soooooo booooooriiiiing…. OP character, yo the point where it’s not even a contest when he fights and kills a dragon. And the MC is a jerk. If he had just STAYED and defeated his family, he could have righted all of their wrongs with MUCH less innocent lives being lost. DNF and review of sorts to come. 4/26/24

He could have abandoned the job of “hero”, but his abandoning of his position of heir to the dukedom means he is hurting a LOT of people since his younger brother and father are both incompetent and hurt those who are weaker around them. He could have just shown enough power to stay in power and help those around him without becoming a hero. Kind of a jerk move guy.

Why, yes, the manga versiondoes cut out a lot from the novel.
