Status Updates From 100 Selected Poems: John Keats

I've read like half of the poems in this collection but I've never read it all through so here we are

Yesterday's despair was premature. Yes, young Keats was a lousy poet, as he himself later acknowledged, but after he got Endymion out of his system, he matured. The poems become better abruptly after Endymion.

I'm liking Keats much less than I expected. So much flowery language to so little effect!
