It’s weird bc this ended with Jane unknowingly but likely reading up about this archaeological dig about couples grave
Likely the fmc and the mmc
And a random v wolfe quote on their grave
It’s all very romantic and depressing

I’m annoyed bc damnit
I’m about to read the sequel
Jane’s book

^and then nothing??? Bc then it just dissolved into a pov of her sister Jane
The one went haven’t met at all in this book until now

Ugh whatever

So it’s clearly just a set up for Jane to go back to the past later

Oh wait no

The epilogue was her returning to the past
And bc she’s stupid
She wore a bunch layers of her modern clothes and immediately makes a wish to go back

And they’re reunited and have boring sex

The extra scene after was a year later and she’s pregnant

The sex scenes and dirty talk was 🥱

Whatever

She goes back home to the future

The villagers have no one to burn at the stake

She’s crying
He’s angry

Her snow globe is fixed and she’s back in the past with him

Epilogue is a year later and she’s pregnant I think

The best parts were the old man and his dog
And her healing everyone
Even though it was literally her ordering everyone to boil their water and open the windows etc

The writing is terrible

The fmc was insufferable and just fucking stupid

I think I might’ve wanted to put this book on my utter shit shelf for the first half of this book

But it’s been a few hours since then I think and I’ve already forgotten most of what I read

This has been a boring read.
So many typos and just general mehhh

Christ this is some shit writing and dialogue

Even more so when they’re written as a doctor
Supposedly
But it’s not evident or relatable

I will never understand how ppl can write or read stuff like this and want to continue writing and reading

A shitty start to the story that does nothing to draw me in

day one of bleeding

and i already don’t like the first line of this book

let alone the authors note about a prequel i could not care less about

I hope this one fulfills my time travel loving heart
