The plot of this book is so convoluted. I don't understand what's going on. The first book made sense but this one is fun to read but it doesn't really make sense.

Oh oh this is even better than the first book! 🤪

I'm re-reading this one less than a year later, because book 3 is out! I need a refresh before I start.

I can grin & bear it.
That's the moment someone tries shoving me & ends up pushing Zakia. The entire crowd snaps silent.
Zakia looks minorly offended & gives a tail flick but is no worse for wear as my eyes lock onto the man. He hesitates before dropping 3 shades of color as I hold my hand out.
"I'm SO sorry," he whispers...
"You have OFFENDED my cat." I growl.
"Oh fuck," someone in the audience says.
"RIP, my man."

Only 14 pages in and this one reads much more like I’m used to from Alice!
