Can’t believe this is the first time Jude and Hazel are even talking about all that he witnessed of her imprisonment and what he missed too. But I guess the raid was only like 4-5 days ago at this point and 2 of those days were in heat, right?

Oh phew. I’m glad Crew was crushing on Hazel before she disappeared just like she was eyeing him too. Eases my second hand self-consciousness on Hazel’s behalf.
For being dual POV I’ve been with Hazel in her doubts about Crew wanting her for HER and not her “omega status” and scent. But also, if he was into her back then wouldn’t he have searched for her more?? Clearly he had moved on?

How is it possible that the first signs of her heat aren’t throwing her deep into ptsd? And Jude too! He had to guard her while she was chained to a table during her first heat, he smelled her perfume going wild back then, how is the same scent not taking him right back to all of that?? Irl he’d have major trauma from watching her be tortured those 2 months he was at the APA.

We always hear about the irrational and insane omega-instincts, hormones, and mood swings but I think this is the fist time I’ve really SEEN them in a book. I like it.
