According to the book, I'm 71% through, so I really should just finish the darn thing, but I just don't care anymore. Ever since Rachel and Devin got back together, there's been very little conflict other than her (very understandable) psychological issues, which actually seem pretty muted considering what she went through. Hate to have this as a DNF this far through, but I haven't picked it up in weeks.

Jeez, Rachel has really gotten crapped on by life, hasn't she. It feels like the book should end soon. Devin and she have both decided to get back together, with really no conflict between the two of them (the conflict is fairly external to their relationship). Obviously, Justin is going to make another appearance to amp up the tension at some point, but there doesn't seem to be anything for Devin to "reach".

I get that there is a lot of build up necessary to sell the controlling violent boyfriend antagonist, but a) there is no sign of the hero bumping into the heroine any time soon and b) do we have to have long drawn out "I loved him/her SO much!" navel gazing in EVERY chapter?
