Status Updates From Batman and Son

There is a pretty large focus on the other supporting characters to the point where some issues, Batman feels like a side character. It works here tho

I am loving the art on this one. It’s really cool how he uses different art methods for the different characters, even when they are in the same panel. It took some getting used to, but it’s cool.

The first issue introduced way too many similar and uninteresting characters at one time. It’s hard to distinguish or remember them, even though I know it will be integral to the story.

Things that are wild in the first part of this arc:

1) Batman canonically keeps the Batman mask on during sex
2) Batman was raped by the daughter of the leader of the League of Assassins
3) Damian beheads someone his second day in Gotham (he also mugged Alfred)
4) Batman has a rocket (a batrocket if you will)
