I'd definitely nominate this book for true crime writing award. Definitely overlooked. The audio is very engrossing.

What an incredible story. It seems hard to fathom that there can be so many sides to the same coin. April grows up in a world where they work to escape the “boogeyman” she realizes that he may actually be in the vehicle with her, that it may be her father. The torture he put his poor children through is unimaginable. I wonder though if the people who molded him as a child didn’t create a monster…
