Calloway doesn't need to explain the bully situation to every one he talks to, or at least the author could cut it out for us. Plus the constant pointing out that he, himself, is poor is sounding incredibly annoying & that you should pity him, though he's being "humble".

...I am really enjoying this book...at first it took me awhile to into it...but the pace is moving better...and I really enjoy Mr. Avey...he is Calloway's teacher...and a great guy...which I hope my students see me as...well...hopefully they see me as a she and not a he...lol...lol...lol
