Is this for real? a story about two guys hooking up to use masturbators on each other? What are they? Pre-teens who have zero experience with actual sex?? I have nothing against sex toys—I’m all for it even but… This is a story revolving around sex toys but it has been the unsexiest, most boring portrayal of sex toys I have ever read. 🤦🏻 This feels like an AI-generated nightmare.

I’m dragging my feet here. Which is surprising since it’s a British author and I usually live for British English and all the Britishisms and just the overall Britishness. But the writing style while really nice, is offset by the way the story is being told, which is… in god-awfully boring approach. Like even the author doesn’t have much to say or lacks enthusiasm about his own characters. Not feeling magic here.
