Won't be done in time for the program, but I am thoroughly enjoying this, and learning lots! Will definitely be buying a copy.

I'm really enjoying this book so far, and it's making me want to get out and hike as much as I can before the season turns too cold. But, I do think I would benefit from a paper copy of this. Might be buying one.

This book is making me feel like I’ve got to read more non-fiction. Maybe it’s because of my PNW roots but I’m learning so much about the ecology of my home and loving it!

Chapter 2: You enter a land of big, old trees
"We have the tallest spruce (sitka); the tallest cedar (western redcedar); the tallest hemlock (western); the tallest true fir (noble); and the tallest pine (sugar). No other place in the world can equal the tree species in this region for their size and longevity."
