The very premise feels a bit outrageous. I mean, Dylan couldn’t at least have verbalised what he was dragging Tristan into? What was with the theatrics and whole mysterious vibe? He didn’t even give Tristan a choice! It feels incredibly selfish and egotistically assuming of him—fated mate or otherwise. As though Tristan was not worth anything until he proved himself to Dylan’s father? Dylan seems so shallow.

It’s kind of a let-down that Dylan was able to resist his fated mate out of fear of his own father. It diminishes the supposed all-encompassing soul pull of a fated mate. 🫤
