Okay, he's still not introduced as another love interest yet. But there's the weird "oh, he's so hot" thinking that makes me think it's coming. I don't like it!!!

Introducing another partner this late in the book is such a weird choice.

And irritating! I don't want the author to do this but I'm invested in seeing it through.

The amount of times people comment on how sexually attractive othered are around them is so weird. And so typical of romances. But it makes no sense to be in romances. I don't care if a character was hot in their own book. They don't need to be mentioned when they're not a main character. Nor do we need to hear a secondarily character comment on hotness.
