Status Updates From Die Geheimnisse von Hill House

This book took until like 50% to start getting good, I’m only JUST starting to like and feel invested in the characters. Before 50% I was telling myself I was going to give it 1-2 stars. Even if it feels like a 4-5 star read by the end, I’ll still probably take off another star just for how bad the first 50% was.

Didn’t realise this was the sequel to Shirley Jackson’s book lol

I love the supernatural elements to this book and the writing - However

I feel like none of the characters have any chemistry - how could Amanda see that Nisa and Stevie had slept together after a day whilst Nisa’s girlfriend Holly is none the wiser??

And Holly is so unlikeable
