I don’t like the title of this book & I’d like to think the title was forced on them by a publisher. It was published in 2005 so this might also explain it. Flicking through the pages in a preloved book shop revealed beautiful recipes & descriptions of the author’s mother’s Tokyo kitchen. So it had to come home with me. I might place the book in the sleeve of another whilst I read it to avoid seeing it!

Basically a cookbook & claims Japanese diet and lifestyle is the most healthy and sustainable in the world. Writer says people who eat Japanese home cooking and incorporate more regular, casual exercise into their daily routine are more likely to lose weight than those who follow a restrictive diet and workout routine. She points out that Japanese people have the lowest rate of obesity in the world.
