WTH is this bizarre scene? Why are a bunch of adults wasting time, lecturing and intimidating their 14 yo kidnappee? While the undercover heroine mentally calls her a snooty brat and criticizes her for not wearing more clothes. Because the girl should have expected a kidnapping?!

Well some more action stuff has happened and we have a tiny bit more of an inkling as to what "Dragonfly" is about, but not much.

I'm am still struggling along as I want to know what happens, but I have to say this is one of those books where I just skim lots of the pages...

Borderstar is 55% done

I like strong female characters and our heroine is supposed to be ex-marines, part of the imperial forces and special black-ops were trying to recruit her for their secret ninja assassin team... she also led her own team and is apparently really smart... so you can imagine my surprise when she acts like this is her first mission, she keeps getting her arse kicked and loses her temper like a teenager! Not cool...

Over halfway through and still not a lot has happened. To be honest I am finding it a bit of a chore to finish. It is just so slooooow. Some stuff has happened but I'm sure it didn't need this much of the book.

Borderstar is 27% done

Hmmmm - not sure about this. I like the premise and I haven't read a sci-fi romance for a while, but I'm finding it a bit tough going. It seems a bit slow and bogged down with lots of info dumping and techie futuristic jargon, and not in a good way.

I will see if it gets better as I still like the main idea for the storyline and would like to know what's going on.
