The plot armor thickens.
Tell me you can't do conflict resolutions with out telling me you can't do conflict resolutions.
Shit hits the fan then cat god/reaper man steps in to white cloud everyone into a convient "i was here the whole time/but then I woke up" sort of lazy plot fix?
Not to mention cat god then dogs on the only male good character suggesting a dead female would be a better replacement as a partner.

Sigh...
I want to like this book... i really do
The full cast of strong females and the one bumbling mildly dumb male character who couldnt possibly be a leader, smart or even clever in the slightest. The authors disdain for men shines a little too bright.
I dont need more whats my pronoun discussions.
Also Zach is really old a super dangerously old ghost from.... 1970? Thats only 56 years old... thats not super old

So far I enjoy the subject matter, the writing style has good flow and imagery.

I am resisting the urge to DNF the book. There are a few things that keep breaking the immersion for me.

1. Characters are not very likeable.
2. If a character is non binary thats fine. But we dont need the what gender are they discussions every chapter, often in the middle if important storyline.
3. Only male character is flat 2D

loving it so far! great pace and magic system and intro to character. love the cat Carrot Stick lol.
