There was a certain atmosphere with the group coming together for a smoke in the morning that made us feel like we had within our grasp a common language, which allowed us to accept others and be accepted in turn. The smoke we exhaled swirled and rose, condensing into a dark cloud, an umbrella over our heads, giving us a place to stay.
