Feedback upward is weird. I don’t feel like any of the examples fit.

This chapter is about establishing boundaries which I feel like I need to be better at. I don’t really have that heavy of a workload now but I know sometimes I do but I’m living in constant fear of being fired for not doing something right so I worry about bringing up anything.

Not really the most relevant chapter. It was about how to step in and make suggestion to improve work flow.

I feel like we will do this activity as a part of our book club. It will be interesting to see if we share. It seems private but I also want everyone to know how I communicate and how I need them to help me!

This part was also really interesting. I related to how it feels to have a boss being a controller and even everyone else at the office kind of fits into that role. Perhaps I am playing the victim but it gets confusing when everyone gives me different directions and then I look like I’m incompetent.

This last part was particularly interesting about how to deal with people who are never happy with your work of when priorities change. I think this is easier in writing. I think that if I were to bring this up in person I would get fired!!

I suppose it is interesting. I think I will imagine Gianna as my manager and Jan as my managers manager. It makes since to clearly ask for their expectations to be clarified and to have discussions regularly bc no one wants to fail but sometimes I feel like I am no matter what!

So far the introduction is really interesting. I’m looking forward to learning more about how I can take more charge.
