This is so over the top and in a boring way t's a shame. But this is a give up, not worth it

Oh fam. I'm listening at double the speed at this point. I'm afraid I've boarded the struggle bus that's heading straight to DNF city.

I've been listening to the audio book for the prologue and first two chapters. I am done listening to that. The narrator makes the main character seem really unlikable so while I find the story interesting so far, I'm not digging any of the characters yet. I will just read the ebook instead.

What accent is this supposed to be? This narrator cannot do it. His other voices are great. But this one is so awkward. So very bad!

It's weird that he feels like he might be betraying his dead BROTHER by taking a lover. Survivor's guilt, sure. But about taking a lover? So weird.

Another sign this author doesn't know SF. It's not the same as LA. All California is not the same as southern California.

How much does this author know San Francisco? I doubt there are knowledge due to the description of needing air conditioning because it is "too hot". I grew up in the Bay Area and there is no way you need air conditioning in San Francisco! Nor do you really need heat that much during the winter. May be a little, but you're not gonna be super cold.
