Hopefully, there will be cameras in the vicinity of Stella’s flat that show you arriving,’ Alexi said,

write up about its Australian owners suggesting that Nick’s company were the forerunners in the scramble for the PR contract.
In most situations, companies pitching for a contract in the private sector preffer not to be disclosed. That’s sensitive information.

‘Now to get Danny, our new investigator, watching that flat.’

She knew that there was every chance of him, or me, telling the police what I’d overheard
You obviously hate your sister, so why didn’t you tell the police what you heard?

She’d got him into something illegal and he didn’t want to play ball.
What is this? You don’t like this woman because she gave your boyfriend an appreciative glance, so now without any clues pointing towards faul play or illegal activities you propose she’s the evil mastermind behind it.
That’s called petty, Alexi.

it was a private matter, and she ought to have waited until she got you on your own,
Alexi seems to have forgotten that Stella wanted to speak to Drew alone and asked A and J to excuse themselves. It were Drew and Cheryl that wanted them to stay.

‘You don’t often see cats in pubs,’ the lady said, rubbing Cosmo’s flat ears. ‘I don’t know why not.
Obviously this woman has never told a cat to stay or heel.

After what Ben told us about his daughter, I can’t rid myself of the feeling that she somehow engineered Frank’s death,
One accidental death does not make a person an engineer.

‘If we could just have those names, we’ll get out of your hair.’
This man has the easiest task to stall J and A further: claim privacy laws. Yet he gives up the names without further proding.

She had taken a dislike to Stella North even before she’d met her for reasons she hadn’t properly understood.
Well, that bit was obvious.

North snorted. ‘Don’t tell me.
Now tell me how you really feel.
Man hasn’t seen his daughter since she was 19. But doesn’t mind telling total strangers how much he really disliked her.
I think he failed as a parent.

When we asked Stella yesterday, did you notice her deliberate prevarication?
She probably didn’t want to tell because you were being right hostile towards her.

‘No, a simple search of the land registry would have shown Drew as the sole owner,’ Jack pointed out.
Finally, a comment that makes sense.
Then what was the rest of them on about that nothing was signed?

We were brothers. There was no need for a formal contract.
LOL
Yes, you need a formal contract. How else is the government going to know who to tax?

And now, this money-grabbing schemer had come along, using Frank’s death to turn up the emotional blackmail and extract money from Drew, presumably because she’d run through Frank’s inheritance and was on the make.
Have I mentioned they barely know this woman?
This conversation would have worked so much better if it wasn’t the first appearance of Stella in the story. Now Alexi looks unduely biased.
