I am becoming increasingly disappointed with this book. Apparently there's a magical connection between a woman and her first lover. No mention at all of a connection between a man and his first lover. I suppose this is meant to be romantic. To me it's demeaning to women.

The male lead in this story has just gone from typical asshole to what i suspect is going to become irredeemable asshole.

The first half of the book is more police procedural than urban fantasy, but it is starting to get back to what I like about this series.
