"Don't forget I can smell you lissa. And I know what that smell is."
From the creepy guard that is forcing her to do things against her will to serve her King as a spy and 200 shades of ewwwwwh

Also since she talked about the different types of Fey, it's pretty obvious that this guy is also a Fey and using his mental powers on everybody around him. Der.

we don't need the entire book full of useless not even world-building details to figure that out. This book is about 12 out of 24 chapters too long

Odds that Loch is actually a Fey Prince fighting against the king from the inside under the guise of being a human while simultaneously Romancing Alisia to get her secrets and use them against her in the election- but secretly falling in love with her? 100%

Meanwhile Little Miss completely made out of clay has no fumking clue about who she is other than she wants to please everybody including the king wh9 harns her

‘I’m not the begging type, Lessia. But if you need me to, i’ll get on my knees. I’m already risking everything. I don’t mind throwing my pride into the ring as well’

‘Tell me. Tell me you burn for me like i burn for you. Tell me your heart stops when i walk into a room like mine does for you. Tell me you can’t stop thinking about me like i can’t go a second without thinking about you. Tell me you don’t want me to stay away.’

Locke seems a little too perfect?

"Her stomach sank at the look in his eyes as if he had expected more from her. And the shame of that settled on her chest and made her cheeks burn "

For perspective this guy is her opponent in an election that she barely knows but is people pleasing and out of proportion attracted and horny with. This story is Goofy

At 12/24 chapters here's what I know. The FMC is a people-pleasing masochist who is in denial about her whole life. She's also inappropriately horny which has no addition to the story. And first of all we know something happened with her family because at this point it's been mentioned a minimum of 1 to 2 times per chapter. Say it or don't say it but unnecessary baiting has this sucker teetering on the dnf pile

‘A woman like you wants to be loved, deeply and without constraint, by someone who knows the true you and adores you all the same’
