dude this has been such a ride. this book should be referenced in how to make your characters feel alive without being so long.

The plot of this book is truly held together with the most fraying string possible. Why is everyone surprised at the fact that one of them isn’t human when they all have literal world-ending powers and are barely human themselves? Not a lot in here really makes much sense.

This non-linear storytelling is killing me. I have no idea who half the people are and why I should care🫠

This is either going to be a one or two star book for me, depending on the ending. I do want to finish it though, because the concept is so interesting, even if I hate the structure of it and the writing style.

The literal first scene involves the main character waking up drenched in her roommate's blood and viscera so I think it's safe to say this is going to scratch the spooky season horror itch

I know Khaw isn't for everybody, but their writing is deffo for me 😍
