Status Updates From skin & bones: a novel

Although the chapters are only 1-2 pages long, I’m finding this hard to get through. I don’t feel excited to pick it back up. It’s taken be about 3 days to read 30%. That’s completely abnormal for me! While the context is necessary, the writing feels like mental chatter.

Such a beautiful book on black womanhood. I don’t want to put it down.

Really enjoying this ready, such a beautifully written book.
